Electrumpede

Sometimes, bio-science and mechanical science and technomancy come up with something so beautiful and so terrible that it boggles the mind and explodes the field.

While the prototype was called the automatic centipede, and could travel the length from Natare to Brambleberry in a single afternoon, the offspring were a little more stable, though a little slower - taking the journey in a day.

100 legs support these things, about the size of a long earth-van, and able to carry 4 people along its spine. They grow with wood accelerators, and are painted and maintained with complex circuit tattoos that keep them durable.

With an acceleration of 0 to 7 miles per hour, and a top speed of 10 miles per hour, these creatures are designed for the regular and steady use of long distance.

They have a use life of about 6 years, before they are released into the forests to join Levis' ecosystem, living for about another 10 years. Electrumpedes are living creatures, and as they have been released, predators have redirected theor diets to include the centipede, the magic inherent in their evolution causing mutation in some of the predator species in order to get at theor juicy meat.

Power Generation

Three hearts power the Epede, with the second pair towards the hind of the creature.

Propulsion

The epede has a hundred legs, which it can easily regrow, even without the magical tech that is infused within it. Regrowing of limbs takes a week.

Armor and defense

The epede has a naturally thick carapace on the top with a more softer underbelly. Wild epedes roll up into a ball when attack and attempt to roll away although slower in this form.

Sensors

The epede Eastwood large antennae, furry and able to sense danger up to a mile away.
