Econo-philosophy.

With so much of Natare's structure buillt around a system of barter, supplimented by a currency that more acts as a boon or an IOU, several of the people who have traded their way into a comfortably numb position have come up with ideas and ideals surrounding how the system is versus how it should be.

Luckily for the city itself, noone has yet to suggest pure currency as the way forwards, but many alternate systems have been suggested. These philosophers usually have a richer parental or mentor unit surrounding them, often with an academic or trade supply backround. These philosophers espouse the virtues of having a larger gap between those existing and those thriving, often stating how the gap creates a drive in the less well off.

A counter-culture has developed in those less well off individually, but part of larger communities - these 'punk collectives' suggest that the objects the rich hoarde are actually of less value than they are worth, and that the IOUs and currency have had their individual worth enhanced artificially - things like prototype designs are a good example of this, with the true value being argued in how effective the construct is, not in its retroactive worth.

This is all made muted compared to say the reader's world, by that continuous desire for every resident of the city to have both housing and the garden space capable of producing food.
