Duskmaw, the horned bison
The story of Duskmaw is the story of the massive horned bison that migrate across Levis. While some are used in transport, most are left to move through the lands without impediment, for who could stop such a beast? Walls have been remade, forests have become plains and above all stands the constellation named in worship of them all.
Several astronomers believe that the smallest 'star' is actually a lucky and distant nebula, which the cosmic dance just happens to line up with, though Levis cosmologists have yet to get equipment strong enough to confirm such detail.
Duskmaw is the second constellation in the celestial calender, and is a sign of strength and resillience. While Duskmaw itself is not within most of the divination decks of Levis, both horned bison imagery and the constellation have homages across the backdrops of several cards, including "The Smith"
Duskmaw is a beast fashioned from legend. Where the bard is surrounded by the old and powerful, Duskmaw's stories always involve a great hunt, and someone unexpected and lowly landing a glancing blow on the majestic creature. The lowly hunter is usually spared in these stories, while those who arranged the hunt are taken as a prize.
Modern retellings also place the low hunter as becoming one of the stars within Duskmaw's antlers.
