Diaflora

The body is an engine. In the literal definition of the word. Diaflora is the condition in Levis where the specs are all wrong but the engine still works - for the most part.

Diaflora is a genetic condition, ressessive in nature and mostly just a genetic quirk that does not affect its carrier - until it does.

Global Symptoms: The first and most prominant symptom of Diaflora is the narrower veins and arteries in the subject. Combined with a reduced heart rate, the subject appears normal. This leads often to blue veins where they exist close to the skin.

Diafloran carriers also have a startling low blood sugar - which for most carriers actually manifests in a higher dietry craving for fruits and honeys. Naturally this means that their digits are a touch more oily. This has colloquially meant that the condition is nicknamed "Sweet fingers".

Foliad Symptoms: Foliads with Diaflora break out in freckles easier, with paler pigmentation across their bodies. Foliads with Diaflora also tend to have a mild increase in keratin growth.

Troll Symptoms: Trolls experience Diaflora in a much more strange way, with it less affecting them, and more the creatures that symbiosis with them. Those with barnacles tend to see their barnacles move from their shoulders, more onto their backs and stomachs, away from the oily centres of the body. Those with mushrooms and fungii tend to develop richer growths, often supporting smaller insects across their form as their ecosystem changes.

Nocturne Symptoms: Nocturnes develop a skin itch, and a drying out at the elbows, wrists and ankles. Their webbing becomes less pliable and swimming becomes harder and more tiring.

Other species symptoms: Diaflora has not been extensively researched in creatures from outside the traditional Levis biosphere. Indeed it has yet to be proven whether Diaflora is native to Levis or just more commonly known within it. - much like cancer is not a disease recognised in Levis.

Is there a remedy or medication to relieve the symptoms? Who discovered this disease and how do we know it's the same disease when it presents different symptoms in different carriers? How do healthy people view people with the disease?
