Camena Dust

Not all joys in Levis are 'enlightened'.
Camena Dust is derived from the nectar of an unnamed floating ocean flower, dried and powdered, and mixed with soil from the mountains and blood of a certain type of leech - non lethally of course. The foliads are nothing if not civilised in their method of constructing this psycho-active chemical. It is consumed by ingestion over sweets, or inhalation.
Camena Dust induces:

• heightened creativity
• aparent deepened emotional connections
• enhanced sensory experiences
• a surge of mana.

Camena Dust is mostly a drug for the elites; the rich and the scientists, and in rarer cases – the desperate artists and creative types. Demand is stymied by the price, which is held in check by the difficult production time.
This is all hampered by the fact that Camena Dust dulls the sensors in the brain that experience less intense pleasures. Coming down from the dust often leaves the user in a melancholy for weeks, with prolonged use often triggering a form of drug induced depression. Extreme use leaves the user unable to feel anything but the most intense pleasures – leading to risky decisions to feel again.
