The device - is a large titanium box that was pulled from Tyr into Levis.
It is hollow, with various internal wirings, and generating a rythmic pulsing transmission. It gets more stable around the holo-books of the Great Library and passing an electrical current has shocking results - probably due to the conductivity of the metal case.

Significance

Was used in the bringing across of the human Marcus by the researcher Thalia Moondance, through harmonic resonance (the vibrating of objects at a various frequencies to produce a sympathetic vibration/response).
