Tengus Terra

Tengus was born during a ritual to try to raise landmass further above the seas. Tengus' parents were indoctrinated into a cult run by a man who suffered nightmares that the seas would rise and all civilisation would be destroyed in flooding. The cult planned to use Tengus' birth and its metaphor for creation as part of their ritual.
A group of adventurers were on their way to stop the ritual but were too late, when they arrived at the cave Tengus' mother was dead on an altar with a stalagmite piercing her chest, various other cultists were similarly impaled within the cavern, it is unknown if one of them was Tengus' father and the leader of the cult was not found. The adventurers left Tengus with a friend who raised him to adulthood. The adventurers occasionally checked in on him and noticed he was developing unusual abilities so set out to find someone capable of teaching him. They brought this instructor to Tengus who helped him control his abilities, the instructor later left when he determined Tengus' powers were stable and it was time for him to learn more on his own.
With this, Tengus set out to try to uncover the mysteries of his birth and find the cult leader responsible for the death of his mother.
