Grandmaster of the Guardians of Light

Duties

The grandmaster of the guardians of light is the supreme commander of the Phoenix Guard military and leads it's forces in times of war. Only senior champions of light can give orders to the grandmaster. Normally he is stationed at the dawn gate but when the time comes to complete a mission he receives orders directly from the elder one or their hand and relays them to his task force. During assignments the minds of guardians are linked to improve coordination and performance but the grandmaster still gives orders. It is rare the the grandmaster is summoned to complete an assignment, usually the silver guardians are chosen to lead missions instead, but if the grandmaster is called upon the situation is grave.

History

The champions of light were created by the disciples of Arthalan, powerful elves dedicated to the preservation of all that is good. It took time before they could establish themselves but they needed an army. They turned to ancient elven spells and began to create the guardians of light. Unknown to them however was that the soul of Arthalan chose to enter one of the rituals and bound itself to one of the armors. Although he had lost the ability to talk physically, his apprentices recognized him immediately. From that moment on he became the leader of the guardians and has held the position ever since.
