The Broken Valley

This forsaken valley is one of the few passes between the mountains separating Allacraus and Shovani. The site of an immense massacre during the war, its numerous undead, unsafe terrain, poisonous gas and semi-active volcano are just some of the reasons that this demilitarized zone between the two nations won't have to worry about an excess of visitors anytime soon.
The valley gets its name from being the center of a significant seismic disturbance which bisected a once level area with a cliff face averaging about 80 ft in height. The northern half, closer to Shovani, was pitched upwards overnight and now only a roundabout road through some eastern steppes and a makeshift elevator permit travel through what was once a bustling route of trade. The split also turned the nearby river into a waterfall which began to pool at the base of the cliff, creating a sulphorous, swampy region that dominates the southeastern quarter of the valley.
