Parigatan Gardens

Parigatan Gardens is a public garden located in Banreah. It was created on the site of a former dueling ground in memory of those who lost their lives in the warring of the Golden Noble Houses.   The garden is split into four sections, surrounding each other like rings. The outermost section is the general public garden. It is a grassy area with large trees and ponds that is a popular location for picnics, short walks, and different community events.   The next section inside the garden is the traditional flower garden. Separated from the outer garden by a wrought iron and brick fence, this section boasts dozens and dozens of meticulously cared-for beds of flowers. Exotic plants are found near the outer wall of the garden while plants native to Cesland are found closer to the center of the garden. There are also many stone sculptures installed among the flower beds.   Nicknamed 'the orchard', the next section inside the garden is a tree-lined stone pathway. Different types of trees grow here, including some that produce fruit. This fruit is harvested and used to make juices, jellies, baked goods, and a number of other products that are sold during a yearly fundraiser to support the upkeep of the gardens.   In the center of the garden is a stone pavilion surrounded by tall hedges. The pavilion was built using cobblestones dug up from the dueling ground when creating the gardens. Along the hedges are stone benches. In the center of the pavilion is a fountain with a plaque that has a poem about the tragedies of the queendom era. This section, essentially cut off from the rest of the garden, is meant to be a quiet place of meditation and a reminder of the deaths that occurred on land that life now thrives on.
