Adrenio's Crossing

Adrenio's Crossing is a village in northern Irocra that is named after one of the prophets of Menudo who was said to have lived in the area. The village is best known for its beautifully designed temple of Menudo.

History

Prior to The Great Invasion, the area was inhabited by a small group of people working to support temple matters. Once the Invasion began, everyone fled south, allowing the area to be ravaged by the invading hordes.   Those who ventured back to the area following the war found the temple in ruins and the Aici River on which it was located no longer life-sustaining. Many took these as signs to abandon the temple and its surroundings, but a few truly devout followers refused to do so. Instead they committed to rebuilding the temple and as word spread, others came to help. A village was built to sustain those working in the temple, which would come to be known as Adrenio's Crossing in 54 SU.   The village would continue to grow over the centuries, and once the temple was complete it began to attract worshipers and tourists alike. In the spirit of its namesake, Adrenio's Crossing would also come to be known for its expert cregeans who specialize in gemsmithing using stones mined from the Ganuiles Mountains.

Temple of Menudo

The temple of Menudo is what draws people to Adrenio's Crossing. The prophet Adrenio, a very talented gemsmith, was a very devout worshiper of Menudo and contributed his time and talent to the adornments of the temple.   The temple at the site today was restored from the original which suffered significant damage during the Great Invasion. Some of the adornments are original, but most were replicated based on detailed descriptions of the temple and Adrenio's own notes about his work. It routinely goes through a restoration process in order to maintain the beauty and structural integrity of the building.   The temple is an active religious site that attracts Indorai worshipers from across Irocra. It also houses the Sword of Adrenio, a sword forged by Adrenio that is said to glow when in the hands of Menudo's champion.

Indorai-Niktamism

Being located on the Aici River, Indorai-Niktamism is commonly practiced in the area. The temple supports believers of this sect and is considered the home of those who believe Tamik is actually Menudo in disguise.
