Shared customary codes and values
Frey people value strength, decisiveness, honesty, and practicality. Respect for authority is considered a necessity, whether between children and parents, young people and the elderly, or citizens and the government.
Strong, intelligent, and active leaders are highly venerated in Frey culture. To many, even a cruel leader who takes decisive action is better than one who cannot take any action at all. It is perhaps for this reason that Freyisdel has held onto its absolute monarchy for so long.
The Frey also come from an incredibly militaristic culture. Many civilian organizations are patterned after the military, with distinct hierarchies and strict codes of conduct.

Courtship Ideals
Frey courtships are brief and simple. The couple is usually expected to have known each other for several years before they begin courting, but once it begins the courting process rarely last longer than a couple of months.
The approval of the parents on both sides is the only requirement before marriage. As soon as it is given, a wedding is quickly held and the couple begins their new life. However, if one of the families objects, then the courtship cannot proceed. In rare cases, the young couple will choose to continue with the marriage against their families' wishes, but this act is seen as incredibly disrespectful and disgraceful.
