The Story of Lightning - Part One
Lightning is a member of the Legion of Flames, operating out of the city of Leilon.

Lightning felt betrayed, first the woman he was seeing, one of the town leaders, and now Lilith as well? It was bad enough having to look after himself and his friends, but he has two children he also must raise. It was starting to become overwhelming, the rage and confusion starting to take its mental toll on him.
One rainy night, he told the others he was going to "meditate" on a nearby mountaintop. This was cover for what he was really doing - cursing Talos, and every other one of those stupid Gods who refused to help in any of the trials the party has faced. For all he knew, they didn't even know any of them existed. Just as he was about to turn away and return home, he saw a flash of lighting, which emanated a strange, platinum silver glow. The lightning continued to strike, getting closer and closer, 6 times in total, until Lightning could begin to hear a voice whispered in the crackles of the lightning. In a final, massive 7th strike, he saw the lightning form the silhouette of a platinum dragon, and a booming voice of "comfort, my child, I am here".
This was Lightning's sign, an apparition of Bahamut himself, proof that he was listening, that he knew of him. And a sign of what he must do.
He began training, hard. Mind, body and soul were sharpened to new levels, and as he did, he felt his connection to Bahamut get stronger, until his voice could be heard inside him.
He knew now, he had the power, strength, and protection he needed to protect the ones he loved.
Along the way, he would've attempted to convince Lilith and the woman to calm themselves, and to rejoin the group and help them. He would also offer to the party that his family could help take care of any children while they were away adventuring, but that would be back in his hometown, not Leilon. They would be safe and away from danger while they were there.
He now prepares for the future adventures with his party, confident that together, they can overcome any trial that comes their way.
