Namerian

The Namerians, or the Children of the Namers, are those people that inhabit the world of the Namers, and live in the kingdoms founded by them. They look like humans, however there are differences in their DNA that make them somewhat more than human, but somewhat less than a deity. Unlike most humans, they have the ability to perform magic.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Identical to humans: same number of limbs, same body structure, similar brain structure

Genetics and Reproduction

Reproduces sexually, though have methods of combining DNA to create a child in a lab. Nine month gestation period.

Growth Rate & Stages

Mature rapidly. Equivalent of a toddler by six months, equivalent of a pre-teen by seven. Are considered adults at sixteen.

Ecology and Habitats

Can survive in a wide variety of environments, but prefer more moderate climates. Live in cities, but spend plenty of time in nature.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Require same nutrients as humans. Hunt, gather, and farm their food. Have a higher metabolism, so require more food than humans do.

Wider hearing range than humans. Same sight abilities, though there are exceptions. Able to distinguish two more flavours than humans. Heightened sense of smell and touch. Ability to perform magic. Some have telepathic powers.

History

After the Founding Wars began, the Namerians were created by the Namers to help them fight the war. At the end of the war, the Namers divided them into seven groups, and each brought a group to inhabit the kingdom they created.
