Lady Jessa Alida Carrington (a.k.a. Jess)
Jessa Carrington, the sole heir to one of the most powerful families in Taliesin, is a highly skilled warrior and diplomat, and an excellent negotiator and gatherer of intel. She is Lothiriel's cousin, as well as one of her closest friends, and despite her easygoing nature and optimistic manner is not the sort of person to underestimate. She is also one of the key figures of the War of the Enemy.

Personal history
Born in a small town in central Taliesin, both her parents were killed in a raid when she was very young, and she was brought up to Zavinia to be raised by her aunt. Along with her cousin, she underwent warrior training and became a full warrior at the age of twelve. She served as both a warrior and a diplomat throughout much of her life, and would become Andrea's Second Lieutenant after her crowning in 60117. She would go on to marry Princess Alana of Kennocha, and assist her after she became queen, though she never took the title for herself.
