Session 1- A Meeting at the Yawning Portal

General Summary

Pashar Viperhand and Diego Acosta arrived at the The Yawning Portal Inn and Tavern at the beckon of Genniau "Genni" Noghce for a job. Upon arrival they met Jelo Mireblade, Glibb, and Kebaz. Once the team arrived pleasantries were exchanged and they awaited Genni while she went to find the sponsor of the job. Shortly after Genni left the party overheard a fistfight between a northman woman, Yagra Stonefist and group of men led by a portly man. Each of these had a identical eye tattoo on their arms, neck, or head. Diego noticed a black flying snake tattoo on Yagra. The party engaged and assisted Yagra with dispatching the men, who left the Yawning Portal telling them 'This isn't over!".
Next the Dipping song began to be chanted as a young man tested his luck down the central well that led to the Undercity and after a few minutes he rang the bell and the lift was drawn back up. Much to the surprise of the patrons of the tavern the young man had retrieved Durnan's tankard.
The joy was short lived as a horrific and sickly looking troll came crawling out of the well and snatched the man and began to attack the patrons. Blood-sucking flying creatures that were engorging themselves on the troll began to go set their eyes on their next meal but Jelo, Pashar, and Diego made short work of them. The party then turned their attention to the troll killed serval patrons before engaging with Durnan and the party. Kebaz was able to land the killing blow on the beast nearly hewing it in two before Durnan lit the remains on fire. Kebaz, Glibb, and Durnan heaved the remains back down the shaft to the Undercity.
After cleaning up from the attack the tavern went back to normal functions while Genni arrived with the renowned chronicler Volothamp "Volo" Geddarm. Volo informed the party that a good friend of his had gone missing. A socialite by the name of Floon Blagmaar. The party agreed to terms with Volo to discover what happened to his friend after a night of drinking at the Skewered Dragon in East Freeport.
