The Journals of Signifer Chaid DiViri in Legends of Golarion | World Anvil

The Journals of Signifer Chaid DiViri

The Journal of Chaid DiViri, Hellknight Signifer of the Order of the Gate, leader of the expedition to tame the Emerald Spire.

“What follows is Volume 1"
468X - Divinations revealed the presence of potent lawfully aligned magic and more mysterious presences deep beneath the strange landmark known as the Emerald Spire. This magic could potentially help cement The Hellknight dominance in the region, and put an end to the raids from the Mammoth Lords. But more importantly maybe we will be able to permanently close the World Wound.

4689 - Chaid DiViri, Hellknight Signifer of the Order of the Gate was sent to Fort Inevitable after the signifers requested aid from Citadel Enferac and the Order of the Gate.

  • There is a vast power node underneath Echo Woods, and it is disrupting the walls between the planes.
  • Increased extra planar activities all throughout the region, maybe this is connected to the World Wound? Maybe the wardstones cant contain the extraplanar energies when they are coming from yet another non native plane?

“What follows is Volume 2"

We are now entering the actual spire and see what secrets it holds and whom or what have caused this disturbance in the flows of magic.

We have found traces of Azlanti Knights, from what I have gathered they where members of The Knights of the Ioun Star. There should be some records in Citadel Enferac or possibly Citadel Dinyar, I will request scrolls pertaining to Nhur Athemon and the Knights of the Ioun Star.

We are entering what seems to be the lair of serpentfolk from the zyss tribe, but their magic will be no match for our righteous might. They seem to have been slithering through subterranean tunnels connecting to the Darklands and the filth seem to have abandoned their traditional worship and swapped deity to the Demon Lord Abraxis.

Amongst the remains we have found that former servants of Ydersius have indeed made parts of the spire their home. This must indeed be a big affront to the Azlanti after the former drove the slithering serpents underground.

We have indeed found indubitable evidence that the Spire contains Azlanti rune magic of very ancient design, something that have been though lost since the time of the Runelords.

The Emerald Spire pierces to unknown depths beneath Golarion’s surface. Evidence Darkland natives is becoming more commonplace within the Spire’s halls and I believed connections to Nar-Voth and Sekamina will have aided in populating the dungeon over the centuries.

I have gotten word that one tome titled "Rise and Fall of the Azlanti traitor and the Master of the Final Incantation" have arrived at Fort Inevitable.

What follows is Volume 3, the rest being enshrined safely with my order on my expedition’s return trips to the surface.

The campaign continues, we have now entered the 10th level of the spire, now into heat and boiling stone. Our troop has dwindled in size, but the gemstone vein that has provided our egress time and again is sure to be near. We will resupply, forge ahead, and discover what secret lies within these depths. I’ve come too far now to let something as flimsy as fire stand in my way. These pits’ secrets will be mine, even if it takes the bodies of all my knights to smother their flames.
