The way he served Deos earned him a place at his side, among Horoth, and Arotha. Just like them, he can now grant divine power, though templars of Michael are rare.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

He was born on a dying old world. Apart from the dragons, he was the only one whom the corruption of the Eternals had not touched at all. All who went through the rift were born with some touch of sin, but were by no means evil, or gripped by the Eternals. He was born without this corruption. He was among the first to set foot on the new world. He and the dragons served to protect the refugees. He got along particularly well with the dragon Tilliat. After each race had forged its own nation, he made the journey south to meet again with Tilliat. He recognized the dragon's wisdom, and sought to learn from him. It was then, that he learned about Deos, and his blessings. He embraced these teachings, and devoted himself to Deos. He would stay under Tilliat's roof so he could continue to learn. Tilliat often said his desire to learn was akin to that of a little child, and that it was something to be prideful of.   Eventually, his devotion had earned him the highest honor that Deos could bestow on a mortal. He was granted Deos' divine power. After he discovered the power Deos had given him, he returned to his own kind, with the intent of protecting them. protect he did. During his patrols, he documented, and deterred all of the new world's dangers. Both natural, and man-made. He refused to kill his foes, for hope of making them a better version of themselves. He had numerous writings that all referenced the original teachings of Deos, which was taught to him by Tilliat. Just as Tilliat spread Deos' message to the draconin, he spread Deos' message to all other nations. During his travels, he met a woman named Deliah Pumar. She held on to Deos' teachings almost as tightly as Michael did. She stayed with him for a few years. Slowly, they developed a relationship. Eventually, they had fallen in love, and decided to marry.   In his middling years, he was constantly haunted by nightmares, and messages. Images of this new world set ablaze much like the old deprived him of rest. In one reoccurring dream, he found himself in a large room, with spiked walls, and no doors, facing off against seven beings that seemed to consist of pure sin. One of wrath, one of greed, one of pride, one of sloth, one of gluttony, one of lust, and their leader, the most powerful of all of them, one consisted of envy. In his dreams he fought them all, and in every single dream, they tore him apart. Even his wife could give no comfort. He went to Tilliat for guidance, but found none. This strange occurrence was a mystery to even TIlliat, in his vast wisdom.   He maintained his faith in Deos, and therefore maintained his power for all his life. The nightmares never ceased. They only came in more, and more detail. He eventually heard mention of an evil place, at the southern end of the orc woods. A place that something dark uses as a gate between their world, and ours. They were called The Deadlands. He went to these Deadlands in hopes of finding whatever was haunting him, and stopping it. He knew if he did not stop them, they would cause immeasurable suffering. Deliah begged him not to go, but he said how if he did not go, he would be refusing the responsibility that Deos had given him. Before he set foot into the Deadlands, he spent a day in prayer, asking for Deos' blessing once more. While his power stayed, he received only silence from Deos. Still, he pushed on, hoping that his faith will carry him.   The moment he set foot in the Deadlands, he was teleported to the same room from his nightmares, and came face-to-face with the same beings. His fight was long, with clashing displays of gold, and green magic. Exactly as in his nightmares, he was slain by these entities. In Deos' realm, he had asked why Deos had abandoned him in his moment of need. Deos then told him how he did not abandon Michael. He has a plan set forth. These evil beings will be stopped, but not by Munren hands. Not by Brimbarian hands, not by halfling hands, not by dwarven hands, and certainly not by orc hand. Even the dragons will fail in their attempt to thwart these evil beings. By draconin hands will these fiends fall. The reason for this, is that a draconin is built to serve, and has a deeper connection to arcane magic, and has the potential for greater arcane might. Only a being of pure arcane might can defeat the Eternals, as they were called. Michael understood Deos' plan, and was given a place as one of Deos' direct servants, of equal power, and divine agency to Horoth, and Arotha. Now, he watches over the people of Eternity, and guides what few of his own templars that do exist.

Gender Identity

He knows the form that Deos had made him in, and refused to change it.

Sexuality

He has only ever loved one woman. She followed Deos' teachings, just as he did. She was there when Michael needed her, and he was there when she needed him.

Education

Much of his knowledge came from Tilliat. Much of what Tilliat told him was consisted of Deos' original teachings, which contained enough wisdom to carry Michael through his entire life.

Employment

On the Old World, he was forced into the military from the age of fourteen. For six years, he fought for his life, suffering inside for every kill. When he was called to the rift by the four dragons, naturally he ran for the opportunity. He joined the scouting force along with the dragons Tilliat, Matrias, and Belon. He helped protect the refugees once they had arrived. After they had founded their nation, Michael went to Tilliat seeking wisdom. He returned with Deos' divine power, and a title he had given himself. He called himself, the Templar. He would then preach Deos' original teachings to the munren, brimbarians, halflings, and dwarves. The orcs refused his message, to no one's surprise, not even his own. He died trying to fulfill his original task, being to protect the people of the new world from all looming threats.

Accomplishments & Achievements

He survived a dying old world, and protected the new. He was the first of a very special type of warrior that would help shape Eternity into what it is today.

Failures & Embarrassments

He died while trying to stop Eternity's greatest threat.

Mental Trauma

"Death is all that surrounded me on the Old World. I cannot go back to those moments. What if this world is doomed to become the same? I cannot let that happen."

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

He seeks to preserve this new world against the sin of the old.

Virtues & Personality perks

He knows his protector's role, and carries it out accordingly. The power that Deos gave him allows him to never have to kill again.

Vices & Personality flaws

He refuses to listen when others tell him that he must sometimes kill. This fact had led to himself, and others coming to harm because he did not strike a killing blow when an opening was given.

Social

Religious Views

He views Deos as the creator of all things. Up until Deos told him otherwise, after he had fallen, he believed that the Eternals were lying when they said they had created Eternity.

Speech

His voice is gentle. By no means is it meek, or timid, just gentle. Though it is gentle, the very tone carries a message, and can calm any who are upset, or frustrated.

Wealth & Financial state

He had little wealth, and no intent to change that, as his duty required no wealth, only a sword, a shield, and his faith.
