City of the Dawn
This city represents the dawn of a new life on Eternity, founded by the munren within the first years after the refugees came through the rift. It has served as the capital of their nation Heodar ever since. It is the headquarters for Heodar's military as well. It is a place of wealth among the munren.
Demographics
The population consists almost exclusively of munren, and is spread fairly evenly throughout the city.
Government
It is ruled by Heodar's king. The "Tradition" is that the king must be chosen by Deos. In reality, the king at the time never is actually chosen by Deos. This is just a way to gain the subject's faith, and avoid a coup.
Defences
The city is surrounded by a massive wall. Each turret on this wall is fitted with a massive ballista. The barracks on the south side of the city are filled with enough weapons, and armor to supply an army.
Industry & Trade
The people of this city pursue many professions, from that of hammer, and anvil, to farmers just outside its walls.
Infrastructure
A road network turns the city into a massive grid system. Sewers run under every house, and road. The city sits next to a river that supplies water to all who need it.
Assets
The king is in control of all the flow of currency in the nation. Nearly all of it comes through the City of the Dawn at least once.
History
This is the first city made by the refugees from the old world. The terrans founded this city right where they landed, and proclaimed it as the dawn of a new life, and many lives to be made here on the new world.
Points of interest
The castle in the center of the city stands directly on top of where the refugees first landed.
Tourism
The fact that it is the first city brings many to the city. The fact that this is where the refugees of every race first landed means that everyone has some familial tie to this one location, as it was where their ancestors first landed.
Architecture
Strong stone, and brick houses line the streets. Slanted clay rooves. Gold, or red trim under the rooves, and on the corners.
Geography
The City of the Dawn was made on a plain of tall grass. Hills rise in the distance to the south. The Midor Mountains are visible to the east.
Climate
The climate in all of Heodar is fairly standard among that of Eternity. In the summer, temperatures average at between seventy to eighty degrees Fahrenheit. In winter, temperatures can drop to below zero.
