Brimbarian Titans

"Titan"... Ancient Brimbarian for "Warrior". These men are some of Eternity's greatest swordsmen. Armor and weapons of pure Theosite, and nerves of steel. Rivaled only by Heodar's Honor Guard of ages past. These warriors were forged during the third age with the purpose of protecting against the Children of the Eternals.

Composition

Manpower

The Brimbarian Titans are a rather large unit, consisting of seven hundred of the best Brimbarian soldiers.

Equipment

The Titans' weapons and armor is forged from pure Theosite, the strongest, and lightest of Eternity's metals. Because these are men of war, the metal will not often glow for the Titans, as its glow requires a truly noble heart and mind, though such occurrences have touched this elite unit.

Weaponry

While the weaponry used varies from soldier to soldier, the most commonly used weapons of the Titans are a Nodachi great sword, and a katana. Though use of polarms such as glaives aren't uncommon.

Structure

The Titans are divided into one hundred squads of seven. The leader of each squad is part of a separate regiment called the Front Regiment. The Titans believe that a true leader is one that leads from the front, setting an example his soldiers, and protecting his men as they fight the enemy. They enforce this logic among the squad leaders. Since the beginning of this unit, the Titans have been led by the same Brimbarian named Evanx Verinus. His last name has become the title for the leader of the Titans as a whole.

Tactics

The tactics used by the Brimbarian Titans vary wildly based on any given engagement. If the situation demands a larger strike force, they will gather their forces, and lead a frontal assault. If the threat can be stopped with guerilla tactics, they will gather a single squad to make the precise strike.

Training

To be selected to become a Titan, one must already display great militaristic prowess. Unmatched with blade, and in tactical knowledge. Becoming a Titan is more of a promotion than anything, as very little is required in way of additional training, except learning a very particular fighting style that is said to be the most versatile of all of Eternity's other fighting styles. This combat style is designed specifically to counter all others.

Logistics

Auxilia

Along with the seven hundred primary TItans, there are about two hundred soldiers who are yet to be named Titans, but are on standby to provide direct assistance to the Titans should assistance be needed. The reason these two hundred are not simply made Titans is because of the cost associated with the Titans' gear. The Titans' wear armor, and wield weapons of pure Theosite, which must be imported from the dwarven nation Midor.

History

The Titans were originally formed to combat the Children of the Eternals. The cult had just recently resurfaced a few years prior, and had sealed themselves into the title of "Greatest Threat" in the eyes of the Brimbarian government. Because of the scale of the threat, and the dangers associated with facing it, no expense could be spared in forming this branch of Brimbaria's military. Their armor was forged from segmented Theosite plates, designed to offer maximum protection while still giving them the flexibility, and dexterity they needed. Their weapons would be forged of the same material, making them an easy match against the cultists' Doom Steel.   The Titans would have numerous engagements with the Children of the Eternals cult. They have protected Brimbaria well, and have proven to be among the greatest of Eternity's swordsmen.
