History

Cornwall is the kingdom that claims to have been founded by Corineus, the greatest warrior in the retinue of Brutus of Troy.
The two tribes, Cornovii and Dumnonii split from the land he founded, the Cornovii and the Dumnonii. After many centuries apart, the two tribes reunited after the fall of Rome, causing much grief, a strife only ended by the peace of High King Aurelius Ambrosius, when the High King reorganized Cornwall under the kingship of Riothamus of the Dumnonii, with the Cornovii having minor princedoms and a vassal kingdom in Lyonesse. The son of the former Cornovii King Ysgarran, was named as Prince of Totnes, losing almost all of his father's land.
When Riothamus died soon after, fighting with his Breton allies against the Franks, Idres did not waste any time, and seized the Kingship of Cornwall, sparking a war with the Dumnonii loyalists who wanted to be ruled by one of their own. It was due to the actions of Gorlois , much of Cornwall became a part of Logres, parting Jagent, Tintagel and Ascalon to be ruled by Gorlois as Duke of Cornwall.   Idres relented at the moment, and began focusing on Brittany, where the Cornovii were beleaguered by the King of Vannetais. In Brittany, he began uniting the disparate kingdoms against a common foe, building power for his next move. He was patient.
Years later, Cornwall reclaimed it's lost lands. And finally, Idres was ready to become the ruler of the mighty power that Corineus' people was always meant to be.

Trade & Transport

Cornwall is a rich region of Britain, but its wealth is not based on grain or wool as in Logres.  Cornwall depends on trade in tin, a valuable metal, iron, slaves, fish and wine imported from the continent.
