Vimana
A vimāna is defined as 'a car or a chariot of the gods or any self-moving aerial car or palace'. In some Indian languages like Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi, vimana or vimanam means 'aircraft'.
A vimana is a word with several meanings ranging from temple or palace to mythological flying machines described in Sanskrit texts like Yajurveda, Mahabharata, Samarangana Sutradhara, Rigveda, Ramayana, etc.
Vimana can travel in the air, into space, and even under water. Vimana can fly at great heights with the aid of quicksilver and a great propulsive wind. They can travel vast distances and manoeuvre upwards, downwards, and forwards.
The magitech behind the Pushpak Vimana has been reverse-engineered and patented by the Academy. They have licensed the knowledge to vehicle manufacturers, who have mass produced vimana. Each such vehicle is very expensive. Most look like luxury cars, but are capable of traveling anywhere within the universe.
The Academy owns several vimana and rents them to students who wish to travel to and from the Academy during the beginning and end of the academic years. They are kept in a large garage or hangar on Academy grounds.
