Chupbacca

Chupbacca CSSO (a.k.a. Elias the "Shadow")

Once a shadow in the courts of kings, he was trained as a spy, slipping through the cracks of castles and whispers alike. For years, he played the game of deception, toppling lords and saving others with carefully placed words and well-timed betrayals. But the weight of lies and the blood on his hands became too much. When a mission forced him to frame an innocent family, leading to their execution, something inside him broke.   He abandoned the life of secrets and took up the sword, walking the roads as a mercenary—this time, fighting openly, honestly. Though the world sees him as just another sell-sword, he chooses his battles carefully, aiding the desperate and protecting the weak where he can. The scarf he wears is a remnant of his past, once used to muffle his voice in dark dealings, now a symbol of quiet atonement.   Through battle and hardship, he seeks something beyond coin: redemption, perhaps, or the chance to finally do good without hiding in the shadows.

Specialized Equipment

A battle-worn mercenary of 35 years, his rugged features softened only by the kindness in his eyes. His face, weathered by countless campaigns, remains mostly hidden beneath a tattered scarf, worn more from habit than necessity. Scarred hands rest easily on the hilt of his blade, his posture betraying the experience of a man who has seen too much yet still clings to some quiet hope. Though his armor is dented and his cloak frayed, there is a quiet nobility in his stance—a warrior who fights not for coin alone, but for something he has yet to name.

A character arc of a medieval spy to a mercenary with a compassionate desire.
