Chief Investigator
The chief investigator is a rank given to a select few for investigators who work for the AGO's Intelligence Bureau. They manage a number of investigators and help divy up the investigations and deal with the higher ups.
Another case leads to a dead end. Another report I have to bring up to the big wigs. Another investigator I have to assign another investigation because this one has reach it's end. -Chief Investigator for frontier sector.
Qualifications
Many years of work as an investigator with a decent amount of successful cases. They also need to learn how to deal in politics.
Requirements
They are required to go through special training before they take up the job. They must also choose a team they want working under them.
Appointment
They are given a special ceremony witnessed by their peers in one of the Bureau's offices. Their they get a small party and chance to relax before they begin their new work load.
Duties
They must take care of their men and maintain the paper work of the cases that are under them. They must work with the political side of the AGO and help maintain the peace at times.
Responsibilities
They are esponsible of making sure their investigators solve cases and provides their investigators with the resource they need to get the job done. They may also connect with legal to make sure that they have everything to use against the suspect.
Benefits
They get a decent pay and can begin to form political connections if they plan to reach for a higher calling in the council of the AGO.
Cultural Significance
Most races and galactic governments respect the rank as they are key in maintaing the peace. The Commonwealth is willing to work with such investigators in more tricky sistuations.
