Blight hits Vaalus

Waves of devastation roll out from the Desolation into Vaalus, poisoning rivers, ruining crops, and bringing plague and death in their wake. Within weeks the cities of Akiron, Betra, Pyragion, Scidrinope and Naxoria are uninhabitable, their citizens dying in their thousands or fleeing the cities, seeking sanctuary wherever they can. Tensions rise across the republic as refugees crowd the streets of the cities that have not been poisoned by the Blight.
