Maraslott

Maraslott is the name given to the site of an ancient set of ruins in the Sternespass, the nature of which is poorly documented. The ruins are belived to have pre-dated the Empire of Kataris, and most scholars believe them to be Tevashi in origin, likely having been constructed before the reforms of Alavar Scriptorum. No mention of their construction is made within the Chronicles of Vash Edom, and is has been theorised that they may have been a cult centre for the worship of the Gods Below which was purged during Alavar's rule.
The complex had been long-abandoned by its original owners by the time that the Basilisk Queens came to power, though there are records of a colony of kobolds dwelling in the ruins, which they referred to by the name of "Gibelzamoshk". The fate of the kobolds is unknown, though most assume that they were exterminated by the Katari.
The uppermost parts of the ruins are somewhat accessible, and have been used as a hideout by bandits and fugitives at various points in history. The labyrinthine lower levels of the ruins, which are rumoured to reach deep under the mountains, have never been fully mapped, and it is unknown what secrets may be hidden in their depths.
According to the necromancer Leonetta Mercatti of the Cult of Ixos, the ruins of Maraslott concealed some manner of door or portal which the cult considered important.
