Adran Langstead-Bheuren

Half-elf, born in Corlindale 1253 AK. Claims to have been apprenticed to an evoker known as “Faoiltiarna”, who dwelled in the Labyrinth of Byial - this may be have been a renegade evoker from Ira's Flame better known as Kyriolykos, the “Lord of Wolves”. Worked as a wandering sellsword and ship’s magician from 1274 to 1302AK, when the vessel he was serving aboard was impounded in Schwannenholt over accusations of smuggling. Whilst in custody in Schwannenholt, he was among the prisoners pardoned in exchange for taking an oath to fight for the Alderni cause at the Battle of the Swan's Road; during the battle he saved the life of Prince-Consort Andreas Riddacci, husband of Queen Margaretha IV Bheuren, and was granted the rank of a banner-knight and a single boon from the Queen in recognition of this. The details of the boon that he requested are not recorded. He continued his adventures for another two decades before retiring in 1322AK, establishing a small academy of fencing and magic in Valkenholt. Invited to the Academy of Gildenschloss in 1328 AK as a visiting professor, during which time he was also admitted to the grade of Adept (thesis: “Bottled Lightning: A General Theory of Keranurgy”). He was appointed Vice-Scholarch of Evocation in 1336AK. Research interests include novel applications of existing evocation formulae, and the manipulation of electricity.
