King Pellinore is the famous master hunter, eternally seeking the legendary and evasive Questing Beast. He is a fair and just man, but his passion for the hunt sometimes overcomes his obligations to his kingdom. Still, his people love him, and he has protected the land well from Irish raiders. King Pellinore is often out of court for years at a time, leaving the running of Norgales to fall to evil men. The reason for this is his obsession with the Glatisant, the Questing Beast. Due to this, his appearance is often disheveled and anything but regal. Despite this however, he always maintains a perfectly kept mustache, which is perfectly waxed at all times.
When dealing with other people, i.e. not on the hunt, King Pellinore is somewhat eccentric. He has the thick accent of a posh gentleman, ending sentences with multiple superfluous "whats". His lechery is known throughout Britain and he is rumored to have sired enough bastards to settle Ireland.
He is a young king of the old pagan ways, having succeeded his father to the throne before being given proper time to learn the burden of responsibility that comes with kingship.
