Constans is murdered by his Pictish bodyguards, on Vortigern’s orders. They bring Vortigern Constans’ head, whereupon he kills them. He becomes the King of Logres. Meanwhile, young Ambrosius and Uther are slipped out of Britain, to live with their cousin, King Budec, in Brittany.

Young King Constans is murdered by his Pictish bodyguards. The nobles of Logres hastily assemble at London. After much debate, Dux Vortigern is selected to be the next King of Logres. Due to his new duties. He makes his two eldest sons: Vortimer the King of the Silures and Katigern, the King of the Ordovices. He also appoints Eldol as the new Dux of Glevum. The Berroc Saxons swear their oaths to King Vortigern.

No one knows where the other two sons of Constantin are, they both have disappeared. However, it is later rumored that Princes Aurelius and Uther are in Brittany, at the court of their cousin, King Budec.
