CDLVI a.D. - Rébellion des Celtes de l'Est breton
General Summary
Vortimer and Katigern lead rebellions against their father. Vortimer and Katigern invade Kent with the South-Eastern Britons, meeting Hengest and Horsa at Darent River and then at Aylesford. Horsa and Katigern kill each other at the latter battle. Aquitainians gain a measure of revenge by allying with the Romans to defeat the Vandals in Sicily, but Majorian’s coup chills the relationship.
En Césarée Maxime :
The Eastern Britons rebel, protesting the policies of King Vortigern, led by Vortigern’s eldest sons, Vortimer and Katigern. The Dissidents are among the chief supporters of Vortimer; those who join the rebellion are henceforth known as the Rebels. A battle ensues at Aylesford, in which the Rebels win. Katigern and Horsa kill each other.
