CDLII a.D. - Les Huns arrêtés à Rome

General Summary

Attila invades Italy but turns back, either because he is persuaded by Pope Leo the Great or due to a plague in his army.

Vu de Césarée Maxime :

Logres is finally at peace, even the pirates have eased off, although some say it is because the pirates are now settled in Britain. There is fighting outside Logres, but why would anyone care?

Pilgrims returning from Rome report that Attila and his Huns invaded Italy, reaching the walls of Rome itself but were unable to storm or besiege it. Some say the Huns were stopped because they lacked siege engines, others that they failed because of the piety of the Pope.
