Glenneton, dark kingdoms of the Great Forest
The country of Glenneton is carpeted by a vast forest northwest of the Sea of Ales. It touches upon the Frigid Sea to the north and Sea of Calm to the southwest, isolating the equally forested nation of V’lumen to the northwest from other inland areas. There are also numerous hilly and mountainous regions, especially bordering Arkania to the east and Anaptun Abra to the southeast.
The main populace of Glenneton are ördögs (gnolls), tall and lanky hyena-like bipedal demonic humanoids with ferocious attitudes. Though not possessing any particularly racially- or nationally-motivated pride, their loathing for other sentient beings is absolute. They are closely governed by zold sarkany (green dragons) which maintain total domination. The border populations are militarized and regularly make raiding incursions into neighboring lands.
Wandering ördögs can sometimes be found here and there outside of the borders of Glenneton, but despite not fitting into their home culture, they are usually still best avoided as they are universally evilly-aligned.
