Description
When not already formed into armor, robes, or clothes (those terms are used loosely here) Requiem cloth, before being easily dyed is a deep black, and has a unquietly soft texture, making it perfect for clothing, save for the cost of making it, and it's other properties being a deterrent to that. Being made from fibers from serval plants from both the upper and lower realms gives the cloth both it's high price tag and it's enchantabiltiy.Drawbacks
Benfits of a matieral go first according to guild stanardiztion for these sorts of things. How ever, Requiem Cloth should not be messed with to such a degree I got told to change the order of things.Requiem Cloth bears the highest level of soul consution of any matieral that is not speificaly necrotic, or meant to use or process Anima, even out "preforming" necrotic and demonic devieses meant to do so. It is how ever only on contact, and the effects are weak should contact be minimal how ever, the draining effects will be simularly weak, for thoese with a standard level of soul resistance about one yard of fabric touching the skin will see you at just below a safe limit, with about a yard and a half of fabric being safe for thoese with high resistance. For compasion, the swim suits popular among the Gold coast are about three foruths of a yard of fabric in total. "Well, thats fine" you might be thinking to your self, "Enchanted under garments common, what makes Requiem Cloth any diffrent?" Well, matieral courruption is the diffrence. A term mostly arifcers need to know about, matieral courruption is when one matieral (I.E Requiem Cloth) gives other matieral (in Requiem Cloth's case, everything else wron by you) its poropotirys (in this case, soul consumtion). Requiem Cloth is also the only knowen matieral to turn anything, from adamantine, to gems, to other cloths, you name it, into a soul consuming matieral. Though it also has a low range, requiring contact, and needing to have a source of living mana (I.E you) to do so. So while you can wear more stuff than an Requiem Cloth piece (or peieces should you not mind them be revealing) you can not let the non-Requiem Cloth items come in contact with the Requiem Cloth garments.
Benifits
Now that we have all the reasons why you don't want to wear Requiem Cloth, how about some reasons why? First of all: It is quite comfortable to wear, many a tailor are looking into makeing "non-magical Requiem Cloth" for this reason. Currently, there are noneSecond: To call Requiem Cloth "The most enchantable matieral we can manufactor" is an under statement. Though you have limited room for runes on the garments, thus limiting the amount of runic enchantments you can place on them, and an strange resictance to glamors, Requiem Cloth takes to every other enchantment quite well. You are able to place enchantments on garments easiliy, and with out much enchanitng matieral lost in the process, making enchanting cheeper. And with a couple of "Don't try this unless you know what you're doing" tricks, you can use the soul consumtion of the cloth to fuel more power enchantments. All in all, even if you're Requiem Cloth "Armor" might be better suited for the bedroom, enchant it the right way and it can serve you well.
