If this spell is cast during a short rest, you and any number of creatures of your choice who are also taking a short rest may expend hit dice as if they were one size larger. For example, a d6 would become a d8, or a d12 would become 2d8.
If this spell is cast during a long rest, you and any number of creatures of your choice who are also taking a long rest gain the benefits of the Longstrider spell for the duration of this spell. If you concentrate on this spell for its full duration, they retain the benefits of the Longstrider spell until they complete a short or long rest.
Any creature affected by this spell can bolster their ally's defenses once during the duration of the spell. When an affected creature fails a saving throw, another affected creature may use their reaction to reroll the saving throw, using their own bonus, potentially turning the failure into a success. Once a creature has used this reaction, it can't benefit from this spell again for the next 24 hours.
