Amygdalans
Amygdalans are an ethnic tribe of Yorians, concentrated near the Amygdalos Mountains. Scholars believe their tribe migrated from the north centuries ago to settle in the almond orchards near Lake Tyros. Today they've migrated farther south, populating villages and towns along the River Aksiós. It's uncommon to find Amygdalans outside of Kaldonia.
Typical Appearance
To foreigners, Amygdalan men and women are difficult to tell apart. Though many find their androgenous appearance attractive, if not confusing.
- Skin: Fair to light.
- Hair: Red, flaxen, and light browns. Thick and wavy, or sometimes silky straight.
- Eyes: Almond-shaped. Hazel, brown, green, and blue.
- Build: Shorter and more lightly built than neighbors.
- Ears: More pointy than usual.
Common Forms of Adornment
- Animated tattoos magically inked as a rights of passage. Elders typically perform the ceremony. Animal shapes are indicative of clan-affiliated symbols, while other symbols have astrological, religious, and ancestral meaning.
- Skulls and bones of prominent foes are commonly worn by warriors. Ancestral bones are sometimes used decoratively in the home to ward off wicked spirits.
- Sweet smelling flowers native to the Amygdalan Mountains are popular at gatherings and festivals.
