History

Generations ago, Khloe's ancestors got into some dilemmas with her kin and were compelled to look for new opportunities elsewhere. Her ancestors left the isolated and peaceful forest and looked toward the human city. From that point on, Khloe's family spent most of their life living with humans.

Although her family doesn't have any noble privileges, she lives a comfortable life from her father's affluent silk trading business. This sanctioned her to go to one of the prestigious academies.

Instead of studying literature and noble etiquette, Khloe culled to take part in the academy's knight training program. At an adolescent age, she's always curious of power and the legends of her ancestor--Theodre Sparrow, the Undaunted.

Legend of Theodre, the Undaunted and Florence, the Black Blade

Legends told that Theodre Sparrow ventured into an unknown secret tomb of a puissant monster and slew the keeper guardian inside. Although Theodre did not return in affluent and treasures, he instead brought back an obsidian black blade. The blade rumored to contain the soul of the guardian he slew, and it fueled for the blade's mighty power. Theodre used the ebony blade to protect his kin and family in the age disrupted by the monsters. His courage brought safety and glory to his name. From that point on, he was known as Theodre, the Undaunted and the blade was known as Florence, the Black Blade.

But that's just legends, the real story perhaps had prevailed in time. The legend of Theodre the Undaunted inspired Khloe. She wants to be like Theodre, to be a protector of her family and to bring glory to her family's name. She always believes that the legend is true and that her ancestor Theodre was legendary as the legend had told because the black blade told by the legend does exist as an heirloom to her family. But the blade had not shown any sign of powers in many generations.

Although the blade showed no sign of power, Khloe still believes that the blade is merely dormant and it’s waiting for the true successor of Theodre to awaken it again.

The time Khloe spent on personal training and her irregular decision to join the academy's knight training program had distanced her from regular girls in the academy. Her unusual zeal toward her ancestor and family past often leads her to a lonely juncture with books.

The Zealous Belief in the Power of Balance

One day, while ambulating on the street, Khloe spots a clock with a swinging pendulum. Suddenly, her mind empty and clear up. An outlandish snap, her memories of the past event start to appear in her thought.

The first event was a boy who is being bullied by a group of students. The boy was dressed in plain attire and the group of students was dressed in jewels and pearls. They were physically striking and kicking the adolescent boy, and bystanders ambulating. The pain and agony that the boy was feeling ached her heart.

The second event was a paladin chasing a thief. The paladin tackled the thief to the wall, and everyone is cheering for the good deed that the paladin did. An adolescent lady expeditiously ambulated up to the paladin and thanked him sincerely.

Many memories came to her. They are always in pairs of goodness and evilness. The pendulum swings, and so does the good and evil. She suddenly realized: that good and evil strikes a balance in this world.

The imagination of a sphere pendulum appears in her mind. There are five spheres when one sphere at the end lifted and released, it strikes the stationary spheres, transmitting a force through the stationary spheres that push the last sphere at the other end upward. The last sphere swings back and strikes the still stationary spheres, repeating the effect in the reverse direction.

Good and evil are the two end spheres that are perpetually pushing force against each other. Our world is the stationary still sphere that remains unmoved by the force only if the balance of force is achieved. When one end of the sphere pushed too much force, then the once stationary still spheres will move. Thus, the balance of power is disrupted. When the balance of power is disrupted, the once stationary world is no longer advancing in prosperity. It will stop and tries to bring back balance.

The cradle of spheres will perpetuate its cycle and must perpetuate in balance. This sudden snap of ideas makes Khloe realized the truth to this world. A stationary sphere denotes tranquility and advancement, a moving sphere denotes change and delays. Thus, the sphere must remain stationary, and the good and evil must remain in a balance of power.

From that point on, her mind optically discerns the world differently. That good and evil subsist and must subsist in balance. The cycle of swings must keep the world in stationary still. This sudden realization becomes one of the greatest believe that Khloe has.

The Pain of the Past

Afore Khloe had her belief in balance, she was a child who is curious about this immeasurably voluminous world. The untapped curiosity led her to a daring adventure in the city’s sewer system. This adventure ended in a close encounter with sewer goblins. The goblin left a minute cut on her stomach, and the poison from the dagger virtually almost killed her. Fortuitously, she was able to survive the poison after the guards found her. Her family cleansed her scar, but the place where the dagger struck will sometime itch in pain. Though she’s completely healed from all damages. Her mind still suffered from that event.

After that near-death adventure, Khloe shut her mind to herself, and decide to train to become stronger, so she can protect herself in this hazardous world. Lonely and trepidacious, but she must not show any weakness to others and let them take advantage of her.

The current

She’s ready to journey into this immeasurably voluminous world, to discover her family’s past and to do whatever she can to bring balance to good and evil. And to awaken the dormant obsidian black blade.

But remember, The pendulum of power will perpetuate its swings, Until a force is applied...

Mental Trauma

She seek to know the truth to his family. The legends that her family told her, the strange but dormant heirloom blade. Her mind is filled with curiosity in her childhood. Until she was stabbed by a goblin when she was exploring an underground sewer. The dagger didn't kill her, but the poison almost did. From that points on, her curiosity was lost, and she stopped trusting almost everyone. Through years, she slowly opens herself up again, but the past still haunts her at some nights.
