Storries told around the fire

All the wild tribes of men and orcs share a common lore of The Great One. Some say it was a Gold Dragon that breathed Frost and Snow instead of Fire. Some called it a Giant. Others it was a Titian, some a primordial force of fire and ice. Some believe it is the mountain it self.   But the stories go that the great beast boasted that it was mightier then the gods. So they fought the proud creature and decide to put it to sleep and burry it deep in Land then the piled mountain after mountain on top of it, Mordin the dwarven god took all its gold scales and hid it in the mountain and rivers. Pellor the Sun God Vowed to watch it 24/7 in the summer time when it was prophesied it would awake. Auril the goddess of winter and Mystra would cast a great spell of colored light to keep it dreaming in the winter.   Most Mortal agree it would bring great Devastation to the mortal realm if awaken and escaped its prison. Most but not all.   Some believe that it would be reborn as a god and reward it followers.   Other just want it to return to destroy the land it in its revenge against the gods.   Others thinks its just an old story to scare away dwarven prospector from the mountains or a story told by wet nurses to frighten little lords.
