He heard about a plot to overthrow the Elves and began to get too close for comfort, he is a bit of a coward and fled without a word. He knows more than he is willing to say.
He is extremely paranoid outside the walls of the inn where he works, but he also likes to take advantage of drunk patrons. He can make a mean ale but almost always serves watered-down junk that really is of no true quality. He is gruff on the surface and doesn't really make friends well sue to his profiteering and paranoid personality.
