Sugazeh Tribes
Sugazeh is a collection of tribes located in an inhospitable landscape. They are known to be great, if chaotic, warriors and are highly aggressive to their neighbours of Krato and Montihume. The people are known for their long, bizarre names and the animal bone fetishes they make and wear.
Currently different sections of the area are ruled by seven different tribes.
History
The tribes are sometimes united but often divided. They have lived in their lands a long time, some claim since before the Ascendant left.
Demography and Population
Estimates count the population at around 12 million in Sugazeh. It is thought around seven million live in The Shade.
Territories
The Sugazeh lands are located on the northern part of Aux. The northern edge is covered in a large jungle where most of the population lived. The southern edge of the border is limited by the extreme desert heats and a range of volcanoes.
to the south of the volcanoes are the lands known as The Burn, with the western section of this being a large salt flat. A range of hills mysterious areas and sunken buildings are located south of these areas.
Beyond this to the south the tribes lose influence. The Burn extends to the west of Krato and this area, and part of lands Krato and Montihume claim, are referred to as The Contested Lands. Officially, Sugazeh territory stops at the Running Heart.
Military
Since the environment is so hostile, the natives of Sugazeh have a resilience beyond of what can be expected. Their forces fight with zealous rage at the promise of a better life and the desire to prove themselves and be recognized. they will carry on through injury or poison due to their frequent exposure to them. This and the fluid promiscuous practices leave them with a large, deadly fighting force.
Agriculture & Industry
Their aggression towards their southern and eastern neighbours is caused by the lack of food opportunities in their lands.
Trade & Transport
Nameless with a lack of combat skills will often gain survival by taking the natural luxuries of Sugazeh and trading them for survival in Krato. The warrior cast will sometimes take up the life of mercenary, usually finding themselves on Kratian ships or joining distant wars.
Education
Education is provided by Nameless who want to get names as teachers or family members. Learning to write is uncommon, as is being multilingual beyond learning a few words of the Aux Trade tongue.
