Lands of the Quiet Sea

When the three moons hid in the night sky a terrible earthquake originating on the sea hit Danjar, followed by the largest storm the nabastis had ever seen. Hundreds of ships were lost at sea, and coastal towns were destroyed under the unrelenting assault of the monstrous waves.
The sea gave no quarter for a week until it stopped as suddenly as it had begun.
In the aftermath, as the clouds finally cleared, nabastis all over noted the sea had become quiet. There was no wind or waves, and as the night fell, those on the eastern coast noticed with horror that a large portion of the sky had lost its stars.
