Drae

(Elf)

Drae are a species of elves native to Erdos. They were created by Theléa (a female aspect of Correllon Larethian) and Rael (an eladrin lord ascended to godhood). Drae are in fact part Eladrin and part human, but they are their own elven species and not half-elves.   Drae have three subraces: Draelar (or diamond elves), Draelir (or Emerald Elves), and Draelor (or Ruby Elves).   The name of their subraces comes from their unique eyes. Drae eyes are gemlike, with draelar having diamond-like eyes, draelir having emeralds, and draelor having ruby eyes. Drae are otherwise identical to elves across the multiverse, though they tend to be as tall as humans.   Diamond and Emerald Drae worship Thélea, while Draelor worship Rael.   Emerald elf society is typical to what is generally described of wood elves in the Player’s Handbook. Ruby elven society is also similar to drow society, with the notable difference that instead of being matriarchal, it is chauvinistically patriarchal. Diamond elven society mostly approximates feudal Japan. Their raessarai warriors are essentially samurai.   The elven longsword is called thénova and the elven shortsword is called malykithae. They are visually identical to the real-life katana and wakizashi respectively.   No non-elf (called naeross by the drae—akin to gaijin) may enter Akualinor.

In Game Stats

Drae have the same game statistics as elves in the Player's Handbook. Use woold elves for Emerald drae, high elves for Diamond Drae, and the drow for ruby elves.
