Vespiculture & Bookbinding

Border1 Trans.png

The nests of domesticated wasps is harvested, amalgamated, and stacked into reams of paper, which is subsequently made into books bound in stringweed, with panels of wood or strips of leather used as the cover. The wasps also produce resinous byproducts which are sometime used as protective varnishes or adhesives, and small amounts of honey, which is used to produce very expensive mead.
