What is an Arcane Structure?
Arcane Structures are 3D manifestations of magic. An object, Man-made or natural, can be geometrically shaped in such a way as to convey magical impact. Exactly what manifestations occur is essentially random, but mere evolutionary trial and error preserves certain Manifestations over others; trees who emulate intense Sparks magic do not tend to stay unburned for long, and the decaying effects of Sea magic generally reduce any Arcane edifices to dust in perhaps a few days.
Powering an Arcane Structure
Prehistorically, Arcane Structures derrived their magic from the lost souls of the dead in a similar fashion to that of Man-eating beasts. Graveyards and battlefields would often grow blood-thirsty trees, spatially nonsensical mazes, or spawn mass weather events due to the magic of these manic souls.
Since then, the Universalization of Magic has made available ambient metaphysical energy, and it is thought that even as simplistic of an "intent" as existing upright in this realm flush with magic can produce the requisite beginnings of magical manifestation.
