Those who wanted to leave have done so. A few thousand of us remain. Our families built this station, lived here, died here, we will be damned if we abandon it. GMS has left us but we will show them. We will do what we must to continue to live.

Life continues, we persist. Few of the ships who come to the station are willing to trade. Most are here to scavenge what they believe to be a corpse. We fend them off and those we manage to defeat either join our population or help our supplies. Life has grown a bit easier, an NHP that GMS abandoned has now started functioning, and seems to be able to help. We have been able to create a sustainable garden on levels D and E. We persist.

Today is a dark day. A large collection of SecComm ships attacked the station. As they fled from their crumbling empire they tried to turn our city into an outpost. I am stepping down as Commissioner, although the population wants me to lead, I believe we need a council. Our city continues to grow, both in population and size. It seems █████████████████████████████████████ Maybe one day we can be recognized as a city again. But until then we persist.

The first council has been quite the success. Together we are able to enforce laws throughout the city and because of that we have prospered.
