- Death's embrace is cold, but as one slips into oblivion, peace fills you when acceptance takes hold of the heart.
- Leta nurtures the dead and guides them with a motherly touch, welcoming them into her "home" and granting them their eternity. She has carefully crafted dwellings for all living things. Every life has a soul, sapient or not. She and her helpers literally embrace the souls of the dead to carry them to the afterlife. It's a long and never-ending job, but they do it well and with care and compassion. They're sometimes called collectors.
- Woqueren, however, is feared by most on the continent. His worshipers in Noctre (and the few scattered throughout the other two nations) revere him. He's this world's reaper, one who mercilessly cuts down everyone before him. In reality, he is more aloof about his role. He takes souls and deposits them uncaringly to the afterlife. If they have a place to go in the City of Light he's created, great. If not, then that's their problem. There are some small settlements where some of his followers have come together to make a home for themselves. They're cliqueish, however, and it's hard to be accepted into their flock.
- Some believe that they are the same god but split in two. It's unknown if they are siblings, the same person but different personalities, or something else.
- People who believe in neither god, are sometimes claimed by one any way and sometimes they simply slip into oblivion. It depends on the gods' moods. Woqueren is less likely to claim those souls than Leta, who is more willing to take in anyone and everyone. However, it's still based on chance as to whether or not one of her helpers are in the area and can carry you to the After.
