A Titan's World: WIP

When a Titan is born, the world trembles. The mountains crumble, and hundreds or thousands of people die in their pursuit of immortality and power.

There's been a cave-in recently, and rumor has it that another Titan now roams the land.

Acquisition:

Takes place when the party is in a tersan city.

The party feels a terrible earthquake beneath their feet, causing them to stumble or crash into the nearest surface. The roar of earth grinding against earth is deafening; clapping their hands over their ears does little to dampen the noise. Screams of fear are drowned out by the sounds of buildings collapsing under the strain of falling rubble or shaken from their foundations. Once the earth stills and all goes quiet, the party has little choice but to pick themselves up and begin searching the damaged buildings nearby for any that were injured in the earthquake.

The Titan:

Standing atop some nearby rubble, a man made of stone curses and throws a glowing hand up. The world starts to shake again, and more rock tumbles down to the ground below. The runes on his chest brighten with his anger as his eyes scan the cavern for more destruction. It's not enough! There should have been more among the dead. He can't rebuild without them.

He'll just make more.

With a wave of his hand, rocks begin to shift around as those who were crushed by the stone lift them and stand up. Those who were not already armed take up stones to use as weapons, and they attack anyone still alive. Another wave of his hand, and the rocks begin to coalesce into hulking monsters that follow the lead of the undead.

After the chaos begins, he turns and makes his way deeper into the cave system.

Notes:

• The undead can be weak to the usual vulnerabilities (fire, radiant, positive, etc.), while the stone wraiths will be vulnerable to damage that requires a heavy impact or force (thunder, force, sonic, etc.).

• The Titan can be vulnerable to things like positive, radiant, and electric damage.
