Around 500 years ago they began towards the outside, building settlements on the best spots found. Upon eventually reaching the coast, some groups took to developping ships and through clever engeneering and sheer luck managed to reach the closest continents. after making contact with more advanced species, humans rapidelly spread throughout the world in a hundred years on the power of alien technologies and foreing relations.
