Storming the Paladin Compound

Military action

The party met with Norbert Banks, who informed them that one of his friends is missing: Kaleb who wrote the found chronicles. Norbert agreed to help the party find the map of the paladin compound if they in turn help find Kaleb. The party split up. Erana, Lemonidas and Cullen went to find Kaleb while Norbert, Nogri and Kane went to find the map in the archive of the paladin compound. The first group found Kalebs apartment trashed and no Kaleb. They did find the unfinished fourth chronicle where Kaleb was directly incriminating the Paladin commander. From a beggar they learned Kaleb was probably taken to the paladin compound through a hidden entrance behind the Statues depicting two of the dead paladin commanders. The other part of the group found two different maps of the same compound. The older one showing an entrance from the cellar and a newer one that was modified without the cellar entrance and several rooms changed. They copied the differences over both maps and presented one of them to The three Devils.
  It was decided that the party will infiltrate the paladin compound from the hidden entrance while the assassins will attack from every other entrance. The left The Three Devils to their planning and waited for midnight. After and evening of gambling they found themselves in front of the hidden entrance. After entering the party went face first into several traps before finding a reinforced iron door. They broke down the door by slamming into it breaking it of the hinges. Behind the door they found several prison cells mostly empty except for two. Each containing a halfling body. In one they found an unconscious body of Kaleb. While in the other one the body belonged to Cade, their former friend they thought was possessed by K'hagarin and killed in the old factory. It appeared as if the Cade had died of dehydration or starvation. The body was missing its right hand which was likely the conduit that kept K'hagarins illusion real. Besides that his left hand index finger was scraped to the bone and it appeared in his last moments he scratched a word into the floor. LYFE where the ends of Y were elongated representing horns.
