Matt the Engineer
Human aeronautical engineer fascinated by ancient Airship technology. Through his life, he pursued knowledge and expertise under the tutelage of numerous shipbuilders. However he learned most from the ancient human tablets predating the lift of the islands. His search for knowledge lead him to Nyur, where he witnessed an ancient flying warship crash near Mos Eisley Dragonport.

Personal history
Matt is more than just an aeronautical engineer; he's a dedicated scholar with a profound fascination for the intricate and mysterious technology that powered airships. From a young age, his inquisitive mind led him to explore the history of flight, and he sought wisdom from various shipbuilders and scholars who had delved into the secrets of airborne travel.
Among his many mentors, he found the most valuable insights within the pages of ancient Human tablets that predated the very existence of the floating islands. These tablets contained the blueprints, designs, and wisdom of a bygone era, serving as a direct link to the knowledge of those who had mastered the art of aviation.
This is why he traveled to Nyur, where he explored ancient Airship hangars. He found only skeletal remains of airships all beyond repair, a testament of passage of time. Though he learned much, it was not enough to sate his thirst for knowledge.
On the 17th of May, Mos Eisley Dragonport was attacked by what appeared to be an ancient flying warship. It was another attack orchestrated by the fanatical Raff Zanton, who had previously caused a riot in the slums of Mos Eisley. Matt stood in awe of the magnificent vessel until it started losing altitude. The ship crashed nearby, and Matt ran to beat any potential scavengers. At the crash site, he met the party, with whom he made a deal: he would try to fix this ancient masterpiece.
The next two months had been both the greatest and the worst for Matt, as he scrambled to repair the crashed ship. Even with help from Linda and others, the work progressed slowly. Primarily, the ship would not fly without a firecore, the rarest and most valuable part of the vessel, which could not be made due to the loss of that knowledge. No matter how much research he conducted, he could only find mentions of a factory long lost to time.
By sheer coincidence Kane regonized a symbol Matt found. And with that the expedition to retrieve a firecore from the Ancient firecore factory began.
