Unele was the first person to be contacted and start worshiping Shraenire after the split. From a young age he felt the connection to Shraenire and developed powerful shadow powers as his allegiance grew stronger.

On the hundredth anniversary of The Solstice of Shadows a half-drow boy was born deep in the underdark from an "event with a certain human slave." He would grow up to be one of the first devoted followers of Shraenire since after the solstice. When Unele was just a little kid he felt a connection with Shraenire and spoke to him regularly. He developed a shadow familiar in the form of a giant tiger which defended him so he could grow up to remake The shadow legion. That tiger succeeded as Unele became the most devoted follower of Shraenire to exist on the face of Laeriss since Naidak, the blue dragonborn.
